Road Biking

Summer evening cycles every 2nd Thursday at 7pm starting April 30th

Evening cycle rides will run every second Thursday evening starting on April 30th through to and including September 3rd. Cycle rides will leave from specified points in Bristol at 7pm prompt. The length of the cycle ride will depend on the amount of available daylight on a specific date but will be on average about 25km. All rides will be on quiet roads, cycle paths and towpaths therefore a road bike will suffice. The rides are designed to be pleasurable evening outings as opposed to bashing around country lanes to get as many miles in as possible. A pub stop is planned into every ride to help oil the wheels on the return journey. Several members have signed up to organising specific cycles, so if you have a favourite route you would like to organise then let Fraser know. Group size has generally been about 6-10 cyclists. Several of the rides will finish in the dark so please make sure you have helmets, hi-viz jackets and front and rear lights.
