Climbing

Unfortunately due to insurance reasons the AOAC no longer organises outdoor climbing trips. As a result, a lot of the climbers have moved to the Avon Mountainering Club, which, due to being purely climbing focussed, CAN get BMC insurance. The Avon-MC can be found at www.avon-mc.org.uk.

Quite a few AOAC members can still be found down the indoor climbing wall on a Wednesday evening however, especially in the dark and cold winter months!

Introductory Indoor Climbing - the AOAC is offering taster sessions for those new to climbing at the Bristol Climbing Centre, St Werburgh's Church, Mina Road, Bristol usually on the second Wednesday of every month, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm(ish). You can hire all equipment you need from the centre.

These sessions are best done in pairs so please contact the organiser, Paul McCloy, to confirm attendance, as he cannot guarantee to be there unless he knows you are going to turn up! Contact Paul at climbATaoac.co.uk
