Punting Update
There are a lot of road works in Oxford on the Banbury Road (south of the roundabout at D) and it is impossible to park on the roads close to the Cherwell Boathouse. So either:
- Get to the Cherwell Boathouse by 1030 when there is very likely to be space in its car park. The Boathouse is a great place to veg out, watch the ducks and have your first ice-cream of the day
- OR when you get onto the Banbury Road , park as soon as you can in some of the backstreets and then get the bus down. You need to get off at Bardwell Road , it’s then about 5 minutes walk to the Boathouse’
